Description
The Interdisciplinary Research Facility is a modern building, housing a variety of research disciplines including Biomedical, Environmental Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Life Sciences and Engineering research programs. Moody Engineering was responsible for reviewing existing infrastructure, such as irrigation and under drain systems, as well as responsible for site drainage and layout, utility coordination, storm sewer management and detention, and the design of two drives along the west side of Kenny Road. Additionally, ME submitted permits to the City of Columbus and the Ohio EPA.
The Interdisciplinary Research Facility now serves as an anchor for OSU’s Innovation District. The building is five-stories high, with an additional plaza that provides exterior collaboration and event space.
