Description
Moody Engineering is providing civil engineering services for a new fire station being built on what is currently is Mifflin Park, by demolishing the existing fire station next to the park and building a new fire station equal in size on the park site. The civil scope includes a preliminary site compliance plan and site visit to assess existing conditions, preparing construction documents including the demolition plan, site layout and materials plan, and site and utilities details. In regards to site permitting documents, Moody Engineering is providing CC-Storm Plans for drainage and erosion control, as well as a storm drainage report, and water and sanitary service plan.
The overall disturbance of this project is expected to exceed an acre and will require an OEPA Notice of Intent (NOI) and post construction water treatment. Due to the limited area on site and in order to meet City of Columbus stormwater requirements, an underground detention system will be needed.
