Description
Moody Engineering served as a subconsultant to Bayer Becker for the University of Cincinnati’s (UC) Digital Futures Complex, the first phase of the new Uptown Innovation Corridor development project, located near I-71’s MLK interchange. The first Digital Futures Complex building will be home to UC’s interdisciplinary research programs focusing on artificial intelligence, sensors and informatics. Other amenities in the Digital Futures Complex will include office space, a hotel and the building podium with a 1,350 space parking garage. Focusing on pedestrian safety and engagement, the mixed-use development is prioritizing green space and public art, and will have other programmable spaces available for various events such as live music or lectures. ME was primarily responsible for the civil engineering documents related to the rooftop podium, including grading and drainage design.
