Description
The Confluence Village Infrastructure (Astor Park) Improvements included the design of sewers to serve the new Columbus Crew Stadium and surrounding project area. This also involved the preparation of detailed design plans for the public infrastructure that will enhance the future development on site, including new roadways and pavement, curb and sidewalks, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, lighting and signals, and underground electric distribution. Moody Engineering worked with a team of design firms representing the City and the developer to coordinate public and private improvements.

Moody Engineering designed the sanitary sewer for the project as a stand-alone set of plans while coordinating with the rest of the design team. Additionally Moody Engineering designed the waterline to be built as a part of the public road for the project. Preliminary research on the utilities in the existing area was performed to better understand current conditions and to apply City of Columbus Department of Public Utility Standards.
