This project started with the complete demolition of the existing Beta Theta Pi fraternity house at the Ohio State University, followed by construction of a new house on the same site. Moody Engineering provided the civil engineering and design for this project, which included stormwater, sanitary and site services as well as parking lot design. The parking lot presented a specific challenge as space was limited. Site improvements required several zoning variances to allow construction of the desired building and parking on the site, as well as approval by the University Area Commission.
The new 3 story, state-of-the-art facility is now double in size and houses 48 beds.
